Sea and Heather
Come and spend a week on the magnificent Crozon Peninsula, where land meets sea – including five days on horseback. You will discover Icelandic horses, learn about the tölt, and enjoy the beauty of Finistère.
Day 1: You are welcomed at the Kernaou lodge. In the evening, you will meet your guides and travel companions over a shared dinner (at your own expense).
Day 2: Saddle up! You’ll begin with groundwork to get to know your horse before riding and discovering the typical gait of the Icelandic horse: the tölt. If everyone is comfortable, we’ll go for a short ride in the late morning.
The afternoon is free, giving you time to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the peninsula, try surfing or boating, or simply relax.
Day 3: We start the day with a lesson in a grass arena. Then we head out for a ride to Roscanvel to follow the beautiful windmill circuit.
In the afternoon, we’ll have time for another outing. The sea, among other things, is only 2.5 km away! Picturesque fishing villages, beautiful beaches, and dramatic coastlines offer a range of sports like swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and diving. The cliffs also provide great spots for climbers. Those seeking peace and quiet will enjoy the many walking trails.
Day 4: Today the big adventure begins: our multi-day trek! Depending on the tides and weather, our route will take us through open coastal fields and small forests to our destination for the day. The horses will stay overnight, while we riders return to our charming holiday home.
Day 5: Transfer back to the horses and we continue the trek. A long ride awaits along the beautiful Breton landscape and wild coastline toward the beach. We’ll enjoy a break in the dunes, have a picnic together, and soak in the sea breeze.
Day 6: Today’s ride brings us back to our starting point, through rugged and beautiful scenery. In the evening, we wrap up this special adventure with a convivial gathering.
Day 7: Breakfast, farewell to the horses, and departure.
